Eddie's First Trip to the Aquarium

Today was Eddie's friend's birthday. Parker Walton turned the big ol' 2. So to celebrate Jeni and her two boys (Connor had to be in school, sad) invited us to the aquarium. I don't think Eddie got much from it, but he enjoyed looking at the bright lights and colors and watching Levi and Parker run around. You can tell he can't wait to be down on the ground running with them.

We saw everything from electric eels, to river otters, to penguins. I had a blast with the kids and enjoyed just getting out of the house for a few hours. Crazy to think this time next year I'll have an almost 2 year old and a 6 month old. That will make for a crazy trip to the aquarium. No, that will make for crazy days every day. I can't wait!

Eddie is 9 Months Old

I can't believe my little monster is 9 months old today. His first birthday is right around the corner. He weighs 19 lbs 1 oz and is 28.5 inches tall. He is in the 30th percentile for weight and 70th for height. He is definitely leaning out with his new mobility. He also now always has at least one or two bruises on his forehead. The poor kid falls all the time. I have finally had to start baby proofing now that he is obsessed with light sockets, electric cords and cupboards and drawers.
He is such a sweet boy. He loves to smile at everyone and has started waving and high-5ing. He is still very much a momma's boy. He will do about anything and be happy about it as long as I am holding him. And when he gets hurt, no one but mom can make him feel better.

My 3 Month Ultrasound

I had my second ultrasound today. I am 11 weeks and 6 days pregnant.Even though it is still a little early we asked the doc if he could make an educated guess on the sex of the baby. Drum roll please...... BOY!!!!! I have to admit I breathed a huge sigh of relief that he didn't say girl. Hopefully in future ultrasounds it will continue to look like a he instead of a she.

I think it will be great for Eddie to have a little brother that he will be so close in age with. I have high hopes that they will be the best of buds.

I have had really bad all day morning sickness as I had with Eddie. At my last appointment the doc put me on some anti nausea medication, but its the weaker kind since I couldn't stomach the more common Zofran when I was pregnant with Eddie. It helps with the vomiting, but makes me so tired. Most days I feel like I'm sleep walking, but it's better than being sick. I am hopeful that it will pass soon since I am now out of the first trimester, but with Eddie I was not so lucky so I'm not counting on it.
