The Words Have Begun...

Eddie spoke his first words this week. We all thought it would be bull s#!t, but instead it was...MORE! Within a day or two of more, he quickly followed it with NO.

He uses "more" anytime he wants more of a food, or wants something you have. Most often I hear it in the morning as he is reaching for the cupboard with the oreos saying "Mo, mo, mo." And so far, "no" only happens on occasion, but I'm sure it will quickly become his favorite thing to say.

He is getting to be such a big boy. I'm excited to see him as a big brother!

Eddie's First Haircut

Eddie had his first haircut today! He's had some crazy old man hair going on since he hair has finally started growing. So at the Cardall family gathering today, we had Dan's sister, Ashley, give Eddie a quick trim.

Due to an otter pop, Dad holding him, and Eddie knowing Ashley, it went really well. He didn't fuss at all. Ashley had to maneuver quite a bit as Eddie wiggled around, but she got it done and it looks great. He is such a stud!!!

Eddie's 1 Year Old Pics and Maternity Photos

We finally got Eddie's 1 year old pictures done. I decided at the same time to do some maternity shots, and capture Eddie at 1 year and me being 7 months pregnant. My dear friend from college, Andrea Christy was kind enough to deal with us one more time. She did an amazing job as usual. There aren't many people who can make me look photogenic but I think she pulled it off.

So here are just a few, okay maybe a lot, of my favorites...

4th of July

We had a wonderful 4th of July this year. My parent's were able to come down from Montana and spend with week with us. For the 4th, we attended the Sandy City parade thanks to my dad's friend Stephanie informing us about it. She is in the picture below on the left.

Eddie was decked out in his 4th of July shirt ready to celebrate, even though it was his nap time.

Eddie loved the parade. He waved at just about every person on every float that passed. He has always liked to wave, but now he does it to everyone and for any reason, even including when I leave a room.

Eddie had so much fun with his grandma and grandpa. We explored City Creek, ate yummy food, went swimming, rode the train at the mall, and played, played, played.

For his birthday my parent's got him this slide like the one in nursery he loves so much. He has so much fun climbing up and sliding down. I can't keep him away from it. He also got this darling CARS chair, but I somehow missed getting a picture of him in it. I'll have to add one later.

And here is just a pic of Eddie and Dan relaxing on a Sunday afternoon with their bag of chips. Eddie had a chip in each hand and one in his mouth at all times. It was the most content I think I have ever seen him. Silly boys!!
