My Silly Husband

Dan has always joked about his chicken legs. I don't think I ever really noticed until he put on a pair of Eddie's pants the other day. So, what do you think?!

Hey There Hollywood!

Eddie has recently discovered sunglasses, and he loves them. We cannot leave the house without them. Usually he puts them on upside down but they actually stay on his face better that way. Oh he's a stud!

American Fork Carnival

Dan and I decided to go check out the carnival this weekend. I loaded Tommy in the front pack and left Dan to wrangle Eddie. I figured we would end up walking around for a minute, eating some yummy food and calling it a day. But then, Eddie saw the slide. He started yelling slide, slide, slide! So we picked up some ride tickets and Dan took Eddie on it about 6 times. He'd come down it, run out the exit gate and run back into line before poor Dan could even get up. He was so funny! He even ended up riding this little train that went in circles. I was worried that since we couldn't go on it with him, he would start screaming and try to get off of it, but he did so good. He is turning into such a big boy! As much as I love his independence, there is definitely a part of me that dreads it as well. I can see his first day of school where he tells me bye and walks off leaving me there crying all too soon.

Did I Mention I'm Pregnant?

So 2 days before I ran my marathon, I peed on a stick and below is the result.

This may have been the one part of the marathon story that I left out. Unfortunately, I'm sure that this played a big part into how that day went for me mentally. Especially with the cramping I experienced. I really thought that I was miscarrying and told myself that when I made it to the halfway point, if there was any blood I was going to quit. Luckily this was not the case and I have had a healthy pregnancy. So yes, I ran a marathon at 5 weeks pregnant.

Unlike my first 2 pregnancies, I have not been sick at all. I have some morning sickness but nothing beyond that. It is amazing how great I feel. Perhaps if the others had been anything like this I wouldn't be quite to anti-pregnancy. I am just thankful that I can keep up with Eddie and Tommy.

Looks like my due date is February 13, 2014. So yes, that makes 3 under 3. Eddie will be 2 years 8 months and Tommy will be 17 months. Woohoo here we go!!!

The Big Boy Bed

Eddie has started climbing out of his crib and coming to find us in the morning and after naps. So we decided to convert one of the cribs into a toddler bed so at least it wouldn't be as dangerous for him to get out of bed.

Surprisingly, he has done so good. There are a few times he has wandered out of bed to go bug Tommy. I even caught him in Tommy's crib one time. But for the most part, he knows he has to stay in his bed. Even when he wakes up, he will sit there and wait for me to come into the room. I'm so glad the transition has been easy for the most part.

Tommy Is 10 Months Old

My baby is 10 months old today. He is growing up so fast. I look at him and can't believe how big he has gotten. It feels like just yesterday I was in the hospital with him.

Tommy is the strong and silent type. You can see there is so much going on in that head of his, but he is so quiet. He often will just wander off to do his own thing. He has no problem crawling into the playroom by himself and playing. The other day, I knew he was in the kitchen playing with the pots in his favorite cupboard, but then I heard him start screaming. I went in to see what had happened and the picture below is what I found. And yes I am a bad mom because I took a picture before I pulled him out.

Tommy loves to climb and is into everything. He likes to try to do everything Eddie does and gets so frustrated if he can't. He is so close to walking. He can stand forever on his own. He has just found the fastest way to get around is to crawl, so if he needs to get somewhere he will drop to his knees instead of walking. Dan has started taking him into nursery every Sunday because he will not sit still. We barely make it through sacrament.

He sometimes sleeps through the night, but not often enough. Apparently, I will not be one of those lucky moms who has a baby that sleeps through the night starting at a few weeks old. It's more like a year.

He is a tough kid. Eddie definitely has a tendency to not be very soft with him, but it is rare he will cry. I have to laugh though because as soon as he is a little more mobile he is going to give Eddie a run for his money. Tommy will steal anything he can from Eddie. So I have taught Eddie to sit on the couch, or go where Tommy can't get him. But that isn't going to last for long.

My baby has such a sweet spirit and a soft heart. It is hard to tell him no because he looks at you with this sweet smile that makes you go "Oh never mind.". But the few times I have had to raise my voice to him he is instantly in tears.

As much as I want him to stay little, I am excited to see as his personality continues to develop. He has a quiet mischievousness that is going to be hard to keep tabs on. I have a feeling he will be the one causing problems and Eddie will be taking the blame. I can't believe I will be planning his 1st birthday soon. My how the time flies! I love you TOMMY BOY!!!
