7.5 Month Update

We have had a busy last 2 weeks. It is amazing to watch Eddie grow so fast and learn so much. He has slept through the night twice within the last week. Hallelujah! It is not a regular occurrence, but now I know it is possible. And as of 2 days ago he weighed 18 pounds. So in the last month he has put on another pound and a half.

Last week we were able to have lunch with my mom's cousins, Nathan and Kaydee Matthews. This was the first time they have seen Eddie. They live in Georgia, but make it out to Salt Lake to go to the church's family history library a few times a year. It was so great to see them.

These next pictures I just couldn't resist taking. Dan had Eddie sitting on his lap playing with his empty pop can. All I can say is "Like father, like son." Aren't they the cutest boys you've ever seen?

Now let me introduce Eddie's girlfriend Emma Brynlie. She is my next door neighbor, Kim's, little girl who is only a month older than Eddie. We have spent a lot of time together since moving to North Salt Lake with them. We take the kids on walks quite often, or get together to let the kids play. And every few weeks, we cook freezer meals or try to sneak away to a chick flick without the babies or husbands.

Emma and Eddie get along so well together. It is so much fun to watch them play. They have the occasional fight over binkys or toys, but what relationship doesn't have its problems? I think it's nice for Eddie to have a friend to play with when he gets bored with mom.
